Our sessions are playful, purposeful, and designed to meet your child right where they are.

Areas of Focus

1

Social + Play-Based Communication

For children learning to connect through gestures, words, play, and interaction, we support foundational social communication skills in a playful, child-led way. Our approach helps children build confidence communicating and connecting with others.

2

Speech Sound disorders

If your child is difficult to understand or struggles with certain speech sounds, we focus on developing age appropriate speech skills through playful activities. Each child's speech development is unique, so therapy is tailored to their individual needs.

3

Late Talkers + Language Delays

Wondering if your toddler should be talking more? We support late talkers and young children developing first words, expanding vocabulary, combining words, and learning to express their wants, needs, and ideas. Therapy is play-based, individualized, and designed to make communication development feel natural and fun.

The Evaluation Process

Before we start therapy, we get to know your child through a comprehensive evaluation that helps us understand their speech, language, and communication development while identifying their individual strengths and areas for support. Depending on their age, evaluations may be play-based and include observation, parent input, and standardized tools.

Every evaluation is tailored to your child, and you’ll receive a report with results and recommendations to guide therapy.

What Therapy Looks Like

Therapy at Chatterpillars is playful, purposeful, and built around your child’s individual goals. Using the evaluation as a guide, we design a customized plan that’s driven by your child’s need areas, interests and learning style. Sessions typically last 30 to 60 minutes and occur 1–2 times per week, giving your child plenty of opportunities to practice and grow while having fun.

For younger children and late talkers, parent coaching may also be incorporated so families have practical strategies for encouraging language development during everyday routines, play, and interactions.

Payment + Insurance

Chatterpillars is a private-pay practice. We accept credit cards, checks, and HSA/FSA cards, with payment due at the time of service.

While we aren’t in-network with insurance providers, some families choose to look into possible out-of-network benefits. If that’s something you’d like to explore, we recommend reaching out to your insurance company to learn more about what they may cover.

possible reimbursement. Please note that coverage for speech therapy varies, so we recommend reaching out to your insurance provider directly to better understand your out-of-network benefits.
